Walking a Mile in Their Shoes

This year, I have been fortunate enough to have been able to help some other affiliate owners. It is something I take great pride in because I hope to add value to our community while helping others gain success.

The vast majority of questions I get from fellow owners are in regards to building a clientele: sales funnels, foundations cycle, referral program, and client appreciation etc. I am more than happy to share some our recipe to building a client base.  The majority of consulting, however, comes from imparting the failures I have experienced and how I have remedied them.
In order for me to better serve our present clients, future ones, and community I try my best to understand the needs and concerns of each member and spend time looking at what they all see, think, and most importantly feel. Asking questions and observing behaviors have allowed us to stay nimble in a market that is becoming more competitive and saturated by the day.

Here are some good tips to help you get yourself in your clients shoes:
1. Listen: Yes, I know this sounds simple, but really just listen. Don’t guess, don’t respond, and most importantly don’t JUDGE. Your clients satisfaction is absolutely necessary for your business to thrive. Sometimes all it takes to achieve satisfaction is your clients knowing that you genuinely care and are willing to take time to listen.
2. Observe: Just sit back, post up in the gym and watch what people are doing. How they interact with each other, what apps they are using on their phones, what supplements they are taking, their body language. Just watch and pay attention.
3. Question: Send out surveys; ask what could be better. Find out what you are doing great and evolve that element. Your clients will greatly appreciate being heard and respected.
4.  Build Equity: Ask your team as they will often know more than you. This is a opportunity to allow each member of the staff to invest their own ideas into the growth of the business.  Beyond listening, run with one of their ideas and you will be surprised what happens.
The answers to why you aren’t growing and where you want to be are right in front of you. Get out of your thoughts, and let the present clients help you build a thriving business.
